Every lock we stock takes its own batteries — four AAA or AA cells in the simpler models, a rechargeable 4200 mAh pack in the face-recognition ones.
Your building can be completely dark and the lock neither knows nor cares.
So what does a power cut actually take?
The router. And with the router goes one thing only: unlocking the door from your phone while you’re somewhere else.
Everything you do standing at the door is stored inside the lock itself.

And there is always a key
Every model here keeps a real mechanical keyhole. Flat battery, dead phone, forgotten code — the key still opens it. That is the floor beneath everything else.
How long do the batteries last?
Months of normal family use, not days. The lock warns you long before it stops — beeping at the door and a message in the app.
If you somehow ignore every warning, the key is still in your pocket.

Before you buy
- Measure the door thickness. It is the one number that decides everything.
- Glass doors need the glass model — a normal lock cannot be fitted to frameless glass.
- Don’t buy face recognition for a door you open twice a day. The handle at $46 does the same job for a family that mostly uses fingerprints.
