Which Sonoff device do you actually need?
Make the lights you already have smart — without rewiring
This is where most people start. A relay module hides inside the existing wall box behind your current switch. The switch keeps working normally for anyone who does not care about apps; you get app control, schedules and voice on top.
- MINIR4 Mini Extreme — $10. Only 33 × 40 mm, so it fits even a cramped Lebanese wall box. 10A / 2400W. Our best-reviewed switch (33 reviews, 5.0).
- MINIR4M — $12. The same module, Matter-certified, so it also joins Apple Home and SmartThings.
- DUALR3 — $14. Two relays plus power metering in one module. Handles roller shutters and blinds as well as lights.
- ZBMINIR2 — $14, and the ZBMINIL2 at $14 — the Zigbee versions. See the WiFi vs Zigbee section below before you choose.
- BASIC R2 — $6. The original. Still the cheapest way to put one appliance online.
Replace the wall switch itself
If you want the smart part to be visible and beautiful rather than hidden, swap the plate.
- TX Series wall switches — $21 (1 gang), $23 (2 gang), $25 (3 gang). The straightforward upgrade.
- SwitchMan M5 — $18. Physical button feel, smart inside.
- TX Ultimate T5 — $28. Full-surface touch, RGB edge lighting that doubles as a night light, and haptic feedback.
- NSPanel — $53, our most-reviewed product in the range (40 reviews). A 2-gang switch with a touch screen, built-in thermostat and temperature sensor.
- NSPanel Pro — $130. A 4.7-inch quad-core panel with a built-in Zigbee 3.0 hub, live camera view, energy monitoring and three security modes. If you want one thing on the wall that runs the whole house, this is it.
Watch and control your electricity — the section that matters most in Lebanon
Lebanon runs on two or three power sources at once: EDL for the few hours a day it is available, the building moteur, and increasingly solar. Generator subscriptions are typically sold by the ampere, and a household subscription commonly runs $100–$320 a month. Nationally, households are spending roughly 44% of their income on energy. That is a very large bill to be paying blind.
A power meter tells you which appliance is quietly eating your subscription — usually the water heater, the AC, or an old fridge running its compressor far too often. Once you can see it, you can schedule it, cap it, or switch it off from your phone when you are not home.
- POW Elite 20A — $18. LCD screen, real-time voltage/current/power, 6 months of hourly history exportable to a spreadsheet, and threshold alerts. 26 reviews, 5.0.
- POW Origin 16A — $15. Same idea, no screen.
- POWR3 25A — $32. For heavy loads — water heaters, pumps, large AC units.
- POW Ring (POWCT) — $35. A clamp-on current transformer that reads up to 100A without touching a live wire. This is the one to fit at the main board to see the whole flat or the whole floor. External antenna, so it still connects from inside a metal cabinet.
- Smart Stackable Power Meter — $35. Monitor several circuits separately.
- 1P WiFi MCB smart circuit breaker — $12, 18 reviews at 5.0. A DIN-rail breaker you can switch from your phone.
If protecting the appliances themselves from the EDL-to-moteur changeover is your real concern, look at our EARU range — smart breakers, voltage protection and the automatic transfer switch.
Water — tanks, pumps and leaks
Most Lebanese buildings run a rooftop tank and a pump, and a bathroom leak is discovered by the neighbour downstairs. Cheap sensors solve an expensive problem.
- SNZB-05P water leak sensor — $12. Phone alert the moment it gets wet.
- WLDC200 leak detection cable — $8. Runs along a whole pipe run instead of watching one spot.
- Zigbee Smart Water Valve SWV — $30. Scheduled irrigation with 6 months of usage history. 14 reviews, 5.0.
- WiFi Smart Water Valve — $28, no hub required.
Sensors, security and cameras
- SNZB-04P door/window sensor — $12 · SNZB-03P motion — $12 · SNZB-06P presence sensor — $15 (detects that you are there, not just that you moved).
- Temperature and humidity, from SNZB-02P at $11 up to the LCD models at $15–$20.
- CAM Slim Gen 2 — $26 · CAM Pan-Tilt 2 — $29 · CAM-B1P outdoor — $36.
Gates, motors, boilers and dry contact
- MINI-D — $13. NO/NC dry contact, Matter-certified. This is the one for a garage door, gate motor or HVAC unit — the device that needs a momentary contact closure, not mains power switched.
- TH Elite — $17. Switches on temperature or humidity, with dry contact output, so it can replace a dumb boiler thermostat. 39 reviews, 5.0.
- 4CHR3 — $24 and 4CHPROR3 — $30. Four independent channels on a DIN-rail-mountable unit.
Hubs — and why one of them is unusually well suited to Lebanon
- Zigbee Bridge Pro — $22. The affordable way into Zigbee.
- Zigbee Bridge Ultra — $78. Up to 256 Sonoff Zigbee devices, and it bridges them into Matter.
- iHost Smart Home Hub — $130. This one is a private local server: automations, data and security modes all run on the box in your home, with no cloud dependency. When the internet drops — which in Lebanon it does, often at exactly the same moment the power does — your lights, scenes and sensors keep working. Zigbee 3.0 plus WiFi LAN devices. 14 reviews, 5.0.
WiFi, Zigbee or Matter — which should you buy?
This is the single question that decides whether your setup feels solid or feels annoying.
- WiFi (MINIR4, POW, TX, S60) — no hub needed, connects straight to your router. Perfect for your first 5–10 devices. Note that Sonoff WiFi devices use 2.4 GHz only; your phone must be on the 2.4 GHz band during setup.
- Zigbee (SNZB sensors, ZBMINI, SWV) — low power, and every mains-powered Zigbee device repeats the signal, so the network gets stronger as you add devices. Needs a hub (Bridge Pro, Bridge Ultra, NSPanel Pro or iHost). Battery sensors last far longer on Zigbee.
- Matter (MINIR4M, MINI-DIM, MINI-D) — the new cross-brand standard. Buy Matter if you already use Apple Home or SmartThings, or if you want to keep your options open.
The Lebanese angle: every time EDL hands over to the moteur, your router reboots — and then every WiFi device in the house tries to reconnect at once, which is why things feel slow to come back. A Zigbee mesh with the hub on a small UPS does not care: the devices keep talking to each other. If you are planning more than about ten devices, or you want sensors that do not need their batteries changed constantly, build on Zigbee and use WiFi for the few things that need it.
Works with
eWeLink (all devices) · Amazon Alexa · Google Home · Apple Home and SmartThings on Matter models · Home Assistant via the eWeLink add-on · Matter bridging through the Zigbee Bridge Ultra, NSPanel Pro and iHost.

Sonoff FAQs
Is Sonoff available in Lebanon?
Yes. AHS holds over 80 genuine Sonoff lines in stock in Beirut, with same or next-day delivery in Beirut and Mount Lebanon and 1–3 business days to the rest of Lebanon. You can also collect from our shop at Bldg 4, Unesco, Beirut.
Do Sonoff devices need a hub?
It depends on the model. Sonoff WiFi devices — MINIR4, the POW meters, TX wall switches, the S60 plug — connect straight to your router with no hub. Sonoff Zigbee devices — the SNZB sensors, ZBMINI switches, the SWV valve — need a Zigbee hub such as the Zigbee Bridge Pro ($22), Zigbee Bridge Ultra ($78), NSPanel Pro ($130) or iHost ($130).
Will Sonoff work on 5 GHz WiFi?
No. Sonoff WiFi devices use 2.4 GHz only. That is not a fault — 2.4 GHz travels further through concrete walls, which is exactly what you want. During setup, put your phone on the 2.4 GHz network. If your router broadcasts both bands under one name, split them temporarily or use the guest network, then switch back.
Will my Sonoff devices survive the switch between EDL and the generator?
The devices themselves handle normal changeovers — they simply power back up in their last state, or in whichever state you configure. What actually breaks the experience is the router rebooting and every WiFi device reconnecting at once. Two things help: build on Zigbee rather than WiFi for anything you have a lot of, and keep your router and hub on a small UPS. For protecting the appliances themselves from voltage swings, look at our EARU breakers and voltage protectors.
Can I install Sonoff myself?
Plug-in and battery products — the S60 plug, bulbs, cameras, SNZB sensors — anyone can install. Anything that connects to mains wiring — relay modules, wall switches, DIN-rail breakers and power meters — should be fitted by a licensed electrician. We will not encourage you to open a live wall box. Ask us and we can point you to a technician in your area.
Do Sonoff relay modules need a neutral wire?
Yes, in almost all cases. Sonoff relay modules and wall switches need live, neutral and load. Many older Lebanese wall boxes carry only live and switch-return, with no neutral at the switch. If that is your situation, send us a photo of the inside of the box on WhatsApp before you order and we will tell you whether the module fits or whether you need a different approach.
What is the difference between Sonoff and eWeLink?
Sonoff is the hardware brand. eWeLink is the app and cloud platform that runs it — and it also runs devices from other manufacturers. So every Sonoff device is controlled in eWeLink, but not everything in eWeLink is a Sonoff. See our eWeLink range.
How do I describe these to my electrician in Arabic?
Useful terms: a relay module is مفتاح ذكي (smart switch); a DIN-rail smart breaker is قاطع ذكي; a power meter is عداد كهرباء ذكي; and the changeover between EDL and the moteur is تحويل أوتوماتيكي. Most Lebanese electricians know the Sonoff name already.
AHS stocks the widest genuine Sonoff range in Lebanon — over 80 products, from a $4 DIN
rail tray to the $130 NSPanel Pro control panel, almost all in stock today at our shop in
Unesco, Beirut. Everything on this page is original Sonoff, backed by AHS warranty and
local technical support, with delivery across the whole country and payment on delivery in cash,
OMT or Whish.
Sonoff is the brand that made home automation affordable. Instead of ripping out your wiring and
paying thousands for a bespoke system, you add small modules behind the switches and sockets you
already have. Every device runs on the free eWeLink app, and the range works with
Amazon Alexa, Google Home and — on the newer models —
Matter, so you are not locked into one ecosystem.
