Imou Cell 3C — $52 · fully wire-free

3MP (2304 × 1296) with a 5000mAh rechargeable battery, 355° pan and −5° to 80° tilt, night vision to 15 m, two-way audio and 8× digital zoom. No wiring at all — which is the point. Mount it on a wall, a gate post, a stairwell or a rented flat where you cannot drill a cable run, and recharge it when it needs it. This is also the camera to choose if your building's power is unreliable enough that a plugged-in camera would spend half its life off.

Why this matters in Lebanon

Two local realities should shape which camera you buy.

Power. With EDL supplying only a few hours a day in most areas, a mains-powered camera is offline whenever the building is between sources — and that gap is not a great time to have no camera. Two ways round it: choose the battery-powered Cell 3C, which does not care what the mains is doing, or keep a plugged-in camera and its router on a small UPS. We can advise which is cheaper for your situation.

Internet. Cloud viewing needs a connection. Insert a microSD card in the camera and it keeps recording locally through an internet outage, and you review the footage later. For any camera you are relying on rather than just watching, put a card in it. Do not skip this step.

And one honest word on scope. If what you need is a full multi-camera CCTV installation for a building, a warehouse or a business, that is a job for a security contractor with a site survey — and we will tell you so. Do Imou cameras need internet?

To watch live on your phone from outside the house, yes. To record, no — with a microSD card fitted, the camera keeps recording locally through an internet outage and you review it afterwards. Given how often connections drop here, we recommend always fitting a card.

Do I need a monthly subscription?

No. Local microSD recording is free and needs no subscription. Imou offers optional cloud storage plans if you want off-site backup of your footage, but nothing we sell requires you to subscribe to anything.

Which Imou camera works best with Lebanon's power cuts?

The Cell 3C, because its 5000mAh battery makes it independent of the mains entirely. If you prefer a plugged-in camera, put it and your router on a small UPS — otherwise the camera is offline exactly when the building is between EDL and the moteur.

Can I install an Imou camera myself?

Yes. These are consumer cameras: mount the bracket, plug it in or charge it, scan the QR code in the Imou Life app, done. No electrician and no cabling contractor. The only real skill is choosing a good position — send us a photo and we will help.

What size memory card should I use?

128GB is the sweet spot for most homes. Use a card rated for surveillance or at least Class 10 / U1 — a camera writes continuously, which kills ordinary cheap cards within months. Our Imou 128GB card is out of stock at the moment; ask us and we will recommend a suitable alternative.

Do Imou cameras have night vision?

Yes, on every model we stock. Range differs: up to 15 m on the Cell 3C, up to 30 m on the Cruise SC. For a driveway or a yard, choose the Cruise SC.

Will an Imou camera work alongside my Sonoff or Tuya devices?

They live in the Imou Life app rather than eWeLink or Tuya. Several models integrate with Alexa and Google Home, which is the practical way to bring everything under one voice assistant — ask us about the specific model before you buy.

Can I view the camera from outside Lebanon?

Yes — as long as the camera has internet at home, you can watch from anywhere in the world in the Imou Life app. This is one of the most common reasons our customers buy them: keeping an eye on a parent's home, or on a shop, from abroad.
