Tuya Lebanon — Genuine Tuya & Smart Life Devices from AHS

What we stock, and who each product is for

Smart door locks — our strongest Tuya category

Lebanon has a specific problem that a smart lock solves neatly: keys get handed around. The cleaner, the plumber, the relative visiting from abroad, the neighbour who waters the plants. A smart lock gives each of them their own code or fingerprint, and you can see when it was used and remove it afterwards without changing the cylinder.

See the full smart door lock category.

Alarm systems that do not depend on your internet

Why the GSM part matters here. A WiFi-only alarm is useless in the exact scenario you bought it for: the power goes, the router dies, the alarm goes offline. These units also have a GSM SIM, so they call and text you over the mobile network even with no power at the router and no internet in the building. For a closed shop, a village house, or a flat you leave for weeks, that difference is the whole product.

Water — the rooftop tank problem

Almost every building in Lebanon runs a rooftop tank and a pump, and almost everyone has either run the tank dry or burnt out a pump running it against an empty tank.

Power monitoring and smart breakers

  • Tuya 8-in-1 Smart Energy Meter Breaker — $21, 19 reviews at 5.0. A 0.96" colour screen showing voltage, current, power, frequency, power factor, energy, timing and temperature at once, on a DIN rail. Range 85–290V, 0–40A.
  • The full Tuya WiFi smart circuit breaker line — 1P at $16, 2P at $34, 3P+N at $74, and the energy-metering versions at $19 (1P) and $38 (2P), rated 1–63A adjustable across 145–295V with over- and under-voltage protection. Browse them in Power Meters.

Why this matters in Lebanon. With EDL delivering only a few hours a day and a moteur subscription commonly running $100–$320 a month, the single most useful thing you can install is something that tells you where the electricity is going. Over- and under-voltage protection matters too: the changeover between sources is when appliances get hurt. For dedicated protection hardware, see our EARU range.

Tuya vs Smart Life vs eWeLink — which app?

Tuya Smart and Smart Life are the same platform with two names and two skins; either will run every Tuya device on this page, and you should pick one and stay on it. eWeLink is a different platform — it runs Sonoff and the eWeLink-branded devices. The two do not merge. If you already have a house full of Sonoff, keep buying eWeLink- compatible hardware; if you are starting fresh and want the widest catalogue of locks, alarms and breakers, start on Tuya.

WiFi vs Zigbee in the Tuya range

The Tuya products we stock are predominantly WiFi on 2.4 GHz — no hub needed, which keeps things simple and is why they are popular. Put your phone on the 2.4 GHz band during pairing. Tuya also produces Zigbee hardware; if you want a Zigbee mesh for a large installation, talk to us first, because mixing protocols without a plan is how people end up with three apps.

Works with

Tuya Smart app · Smart Life app · Amazon Alexa · Google Home · scene sharing with family members · remote access from anywhere with a mobile signal.

Tuya FAQs

Is Tuya Smart the same as Smart Life?

Effectively yes — same platform, same accounts system, two app names. Pick one and use it for everything. Devices paired in one will not automatically appear in the other, so do not switch halfway through setting up your home.

Do Tuya devices work without internet?

App control and voice control need internet, because they route through the cloud. Local behaviour continues: a door lock still opens with your fingerprint or code, and a smart breaker keeps protecting the circuit. This is exactly why our GSM alarm systems are the ones we recommend for real security — they alert you over the mobile network, not over your router.

Do Tuya smart locks work if the battery dies?

The locks are battery powered and warn you well before the batteries run out. Emergency access methods vary by model — mechanical key, USB emergency power, or both. Ask us about the specific model before you buy, and we will tell you exactly what that lock's fallback is. Do not guess on this one.

Will a Tuya lock fit my door?

Not automatically. Lebanese doors vary a great deal — wooden, steel security doors, aluminium and frameless glass all need different fittings. Send us photos of the door edge and the existing lock on WhatsApp at +961 81 009 594 before ordering, and we will confirm the fit or recommend a different model. This saves everyone a return.

Can I use Tuya devices with my Sonoff devices?

Not in the same app. Tuya and eWeLink are separate platforms. You can, however, connect both to Alexa or Google Home and control everything from there — that is the usual solution for a mixed house.

Do Tuya devices work on 5 GHz WiFi?

No — 2.4 GHz only, like almost all smart-home hardware. Set your phone to the 2.4 GHz band while pairing.

Who are Tongou and why do their breakers say Tuya?

Tongou is a Chinese low-voltage electrical manufacturer that builds its smart breakers on the Tuya platform — so the hardware is Tongou and the app is Tuya/Smart Life. It is a genuine product, not a rebadge trick. See the Tongou range.

Can I install these myself?

The plugs, IR remote, water sensors and alarm kits are straightforward DIY. Smart circuit breakers and door locks are not — breakers go in your distribution board and must be fitted by a licensed electrician, and locks need to be mounted properly or they become the weak point in your door. Ask us for a technician referral.

Tuya is the platform that lets one app run your whole house — and AHS stocks the Tuya
range that actually makes sense for a Lebanese home: face-recognition door locks, GSM alarm systems
that keep working when the internet is down, smart circuit breakers, and water-level sensors for
your rooftop tank.
Genuine products, AHS warranty, delivery across Lebanon and payment on
delivery in cash, OMT or Whish.

Tuya is not a factory — it is the software layer that thousands of manufacturers build on. That
is the whole point. A Tuya door lock, a Tuya breaker and a Tuya alarm made by three different
companies all appear in the same Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, in
the same rooms, in the same automations. You are not stuck with one manufacturer’s catalogue for the
rest of your life. The range also works with Amazon Alexa and
Google Home.
